Spirit House. A small shrine or impromtu worship spot that is blessed and decorated with offerings of fruit, flowers, incense. Anyone of any religion is welcome to pause and/or make an offering and prayer.

Wat. A Buddhist temple or temple area.

The Jim Thompson House. Home of mysterious American Jim Thompson, a former spy, who settled in Thailand and help organize the country’s silk industry. He disappeared after going for a walk in the jungle, but his home is a museum now, and there are several Jim Thompson silk stores in Bangkok offering fine quality silk products.
